GOVERNMENT WEBSITES

Alabama Political Forum

I'm sure there are many more political advocates in Alabama who would like to have a website such as my  "Moody Political Forum" website.  The problem with "specific subject" websites is that you get discouraged when you don't get a lot of hits to your webpage.   I think that the answer to that problem is to band together all of the websites in the State under the specific topic of interest.  So, I am developing this webpage to assist all of the political advocates in all of the counties and cities in Alabama to make their websites easy to find, and to give them more "clout" with the politicians and the political climate of the specific areas.  There is POWER in numbers, and politicians pay attention to NUMBERS!

I am looking for websites for counties, cities and incorporated areas of Alabama.   I'm not interested in "City Government" or "County Government" sites for corporate development.  There are plenty of those, and while they have their place, they are not always in touch with the will of the citizens and taxpayers who live there, and whose money they are spending.   I am more interested in websites of politically interested citizens who are not politicians, but are interested in how much control their governments exercise over their lives and their money.

I have searched the web for websites in Alabama which have a similar purpose to my Moody Political Forum website, and I have not been able to find even one!   But, I like to think that there are others out there who would like to provide a "forum" for the governed people in their local areas to express their opinions on how the government should govern them!  My problem is that when we elect these people, with a vote, to govern us, that's the last control we have over what they do to us until the next election!   I want them to be attentive to the will of the people while they are in office too--not just when they are telling us all the great things they are going to do if we will just vote for them!

So, here is my plan, and how I hope to carry it out:

  • I am looking for interested citizens in local city or county areas who are willing to spend a little time developing their own websites about political concerns in their own local areas.
  • You can develop your own website with your own subjects of interest.  This website will serve only to assist you in getting hits to your site, though I will not be inclined to list websites which are too far off base from the objective of my own website.  Hey!  Its MY perogative-- I own the website!
  • You don't have to know how to build a website to build one!  I don't know how to build one either!  That is, there is no complicated "html" to learn, or anything like that, which was once a problem to website hosts.  I will be happy to help anyone build a website like mine, or even better.  Just email me with your desires-- I will put you in touch with the tools for a simple and easy website you can be proud of..... FREE!   ( I like that word, FREE,  ---  I don't have a penny in my website...... just the time it took to develop it!).
  • If you already have a website and would like to link it here, its OK!  You don't have to use my format, and you don't have to have my exact, same agenda.....  as long as you are in the same ballpark!

So, now, lets get down to business!  If you have a website you would like to link to this page, send it to the email address below. I will check it out and let you know if it qualifies.

If you would like to develop a political website for your county or community and don't know how, email me at the address below, and lets get started on it!  I'm not quite ready for other states yet, but anything in Alabama is up for consideration.   I will want to go to other states, if and when we have a good start on Alabama.

I would like for you to use my "Moody Political Forum" website as a guide, but I am open to your own innovation.  You are welcome to copy anything in my website....I will be interested in your expertise as well!

If you are developing a new website, try to stick to the subtitle, ??? Political Forum.  It will make you titlepage easier to find on the internet among the other title-pages.

Check out my website below!  If you like it and would like to do something like it, write to me!
