AN ORDINANCE TO DESIGNATE OFFICIAL HOLIDAYS FOR THE CITY OF MOODY EMPLOYEES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2000-2001.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOODY AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Designated Holidays:

November 12, 2001 Monday Veterans Day

November 22, 2001 Thursday Thanksgiving

November 23, 2001 Friday Thanksgiving

December 24, 2001 Monday Christmas

December 25, 2001 Tuesday Christmas

January 01, 2002 Tuesday New Years

May 27, 2002 Monday Memorial Day

July 04, 2002 Thursday Independence Day

September 2, 2002 Monday Labor Day

As Scheduled ______ Personal Day


SECTION 2. Scheduling:
That nothing in this ordinance shall interfere with the authority of the Department Head to require any employee under his/her superevision or jurisdiction to be on duty at such date and time where the Department Head determines that the presence of the employee is necessary. The Department Head has sole discretion when scheduling for designated holidays.

SECTION 3. Conflict.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.

SECTION 4. Effective Date:
That this ordinance shall take effect upon passage, approval and publication as required by law.
