Churches in Moody and Surrounding Area

If religion is the way to truth and happiness, why do you suppose that there are so many people out there who have never found it, and would never walk in the doors of a church? Its a profound question that deserves a lot of thought by Christians in every religious faith. Jesus and his disciples commanded us to spread the Good News to all the Earth - every race, nationality, language and tribe (Rev. 14:6). That was some 2000 years ago. Why hasn't it been a successful endeavor? Are these all people who have never been in church? I think not. I believe that the majority have tried it and found it to be much less fulfilling than what they were hoping to find. Why?

Churches, as well as a lot of us Christians, are a lot like politicians. They start out with the mission of service to community and fellow mankind, but too soon run up against the status quo of people who have become comfortable in their own self-indulgence. I have watched congregations of good people become zealous to serve their fellow humankind in the way Christ taught us to serve, only to become discontent when too many new people start to sit in their favorite pews and volunteer to help bring more newcomers into the congregation. Still, Jesus did tell us to congregate and spread the Good Word. He didn't say we had to put up walls to keep less worthy people out. He established His Church on Earth on a "rock" in the most wretched place he probably ever walked on Earth. There must be a message there!

There are a lot of good churches listed below. I hope you find one to your liking, and I hope it is in the business of reaching out to rich and poor, old and young, republicans and democrats, sinners and........................ dead people?
